Social Motion Programme | 2024–2025

We didn’t animate the assets.
We animated everything around them.

A lot of alcohol advertising mistakes noise for energy.
Fast edits.
Louder music.
More flames.
More bottles flying at the camera.
Tequila Cazadores needed something more grounded.
The brand already carried strong cultural identity, heritage, and attitude.
The challenge was not to force motion into the content.
It was to make the brand world feel alive.
THE IDEA
Don’t animate the asset.
Animate the atmosphere around it.
Instead of treating the supplied visuals like static layouts waiting for transitions, the motion system focused on building mood, rhythm, texture, and cinematic energy around every piece of content.
Every film responded to a different cultural moment.
• Día de Muertos — Day of the Dead, November 1–2
• Año Nuevo — New Year, December 31
• Día de Reyes — Three Kings’ Day, January 6
• International Bartender Day — February 24
• Agave heritage stories — set in Arandas, Jalisco, Cazadores’ home region
• Nightlife and brand-moment films — running year-round
The emotional energy shifted depending on the occasion, while the Cazadores personality stayed consistent across everything.

THE MOTION SYSTEM
The programme was built around a few core creative principles:
• Atmosphere over aggressive effects
• Cinematic pacing over trend-led editing
• Typography behaving like rhythm, not information
• Mobile-first storytelling designed for social feeds
• Motion that extended the brand world instead of overpowering it
Some films moved slowly and ceremonially.
Others felt energetic, immersive, and nightlife-driven.
The typography adapted to the emotional tone of each moment, becoming part of the movement itself.
THE CHALLENGE
The real challenge was consistency at scale.
Different festivals.
Different moods.
Different platforms.
Different timelines.
One recognisable brand behaviour.
The system needed to stay culturally flexible without losing the rugged, premium identity of Tequila Cazadores.
MY ROLE
Creative direction, concept development, motion storytelling direction, visual direction, typography direction, copy direction, and overall social content supervision.
